Convention with the Ministry of Education for the renovation of 12 schools in Gabès
In June 2016, the Hédi Bouchamaoui Foundation signed a convention with the Ministry of National Education, establishing a partnership for the implementation of an integrated educational and cultural project aimed at improving the quality of education. The project targets minimizing the school dropout rate through the maintenance and management of a number of schools. It also works to provide equipment and various school materials, as well as supporting the activities of clubs and services provided by schools.
The signing of the convention was preceded by the selection of 12 priority schools in the region, in close collaboration with the Regional Education Delegation in Gabès. Interventions were focused on classrooms, sanitary infrastructure, and the general environment in which pupils are taught.
